Doughnuts and adventures

Standard

Sometimes you gotta do crazy irrational stuff in life. It keeps you young.

I suggest driving 4 hours to your favorite donut shop. Or, better yet, driving however long it takes you to get to My favorite donut shop Glazed Gourmet Doughnuts.

Yesterday morning Autumn, Chaela and I drove down to Charleston, SC in pursuit of a purple goat.

Not like a real-life, fuzzy, baahing purple goat. The purple goat is a lavender and goat cheese donut that Glazed is pretty famous for. I’ve never had it, and that makes me pretty upset.

Unfortunately, the purple goat got away from us yet again, but we still got to eat some delicious treats: Autumn had the maple bacon, Chaela had the apple bacon fritter, and I had the black and white (dark chocolate and powdered sugar= yum. remind me that I need to learn to make donuts.)

Wow. Have you ever seen two girls happier to be at a donut shop? (Chaela on left. Autumn on right.)

After getting our donuts, we hopped in the car and drove 4 hours back to Clemson.

The end

I’m just kidding of course. If you’re in Charleston, you must maximize your fun time! We went shopping downtown, went to Folly beach, bought SO much coffee, ate soup (a Charleston classic. just kidding. it’s not.) , took photos (will post later), hung out at the battery, and watched a doggy-training class.

Then we drove 4 hours back to Clemson.

We’re sane, I promise. Sometimes girls just wanna have fun before school starts.
