A Time For Everything

Standard

There is a time for everything and a season for every activitiy under heaven…”

A time to labor and a time to rest

“A time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance”

A time to skip classes for a few days to go to a concert with friends and a time to catch up with all the work

I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men ; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to the end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil- this is the gift of God.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1,4,11-13

Thursday and Friday was the time for Chaela and I to skip classes, go to a We The Kings concert (no shame.), enjoy each other’s company, and hang out with our dear friend Jacob in Charleston. Now is the time for me to get my butt in gear and start working!

To anyone who does not know what time it is for them, maybe it’s time to read Ecclesiastes! (my favorite book of the Bible if you’re allowed to have favorites about that sort of thing haha)

  1. It’s true – there are times when you can step away from the pressure of life, study work just for a while to enjoy a moment with friends or family, a moment divorced from expectation and merely an opportunity to appreciate this beautiful world we have been gifted with and those who we are blessed to have in our lives. You hold those moments in your heart when you take back the reins and continue with your work and what needs to be done in your life.
